I designed this tent with my mate in 2009 and posted a drawing here. The soulless belltent.co.uk have stolen it, calling it an emperor bell tent, its a complete rip off! The only consolation being it looks like a rush job and probably has even more issues than their standard tents.
I shall keep my ideas and designs a little closer to my chest in future.
It was naive of me to think that lovers of bell tents would not stoop that low.
WANTED : Someone, with a friend who will live in a yurt for one year and run a small campsite, documenting their experiences.

Finally, as the rain, an old familiar face I had not seen for a while, taps upon the window, I have my magic 7.
Each has a page, each has a potential. All awaiting the fuel to ignite the spark.
I have spent many hours when most are asleep thinking of how and what. Of right or wrong , left or right, up or down, in fact any which way to reach my dragons den.
In a small, perfectly formed corner of South Devon, on a 2 acre one ‘pitch’ campsite sits my secret bell tent. I say tent when I actually mean tents, because you will have 4 secret bell tents to enjoy.
Unlike the majority of ‘campsites’, outside your secret bell tent you are free to make campfires and truly immerse yourself in the solace that a dark star filled sky and crackling fire provide. A magical space that would be ruined if it became so popular there were no free weekends available for you to come
There are no irritating other campers to ruin your tranquility. Just you, charlie duck and his three duck entourage, minty the chicken and her seven assorted friends.
Most bell tents currently available on the market have windows incorporated into the side wall of the tent. These are usually configured to be either open or closed and have mosquito netting in place making them ideal for leaving open on ‘hot’ nights. As I sat by my pipsqueak stove the other night though, outside was cold, althogh the sky was clear and filled with stars. I thought that it would be great if I could keep the doors closed and look out of port hole windows situated in the doors and roof of the tent.
I thought this was a nice idea and with windows in the roof the tent would resemble a moon landing module or UFO that had touched down.
Would you buy one if I have some made??????
